The Senior Scientist is a key role within the Horticulture Research Programme at MBio. Reporting to the Horticulture Programme Manager, the Senior Scientist will drive project execution and research in the area of sustainability, horticulture and mushroom development.
Together with the other Packhouse supervisor, you are responsible for the personnel and daily running of the Packhouse. Everything is in compliance with high standards of quality and safety, at the lowest possible cost.
We require EC licensed Drivers to collect Mushrooms from our Grower Network on a daily basis and deliver them to Tyholland Packhouse.
Reporting to the HR Project Manager the main objective of this role is to maintain and monitor all elements of data within key HR systems across the group. Working closely with Site Administrators, it will be the responsibility of the Data Administrator to ensure standardisation and accuracy. Involvement in the planning and development of the database, report creation and analysis, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users will be a requirement.
This is an entry level position.
Horticulture Programme Manager
The Horticulture Programme Manager is a key role in the management of a number of research projects within MBio. Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, the Horticulture Programme Manager will be essential in driving forward the development of microbial solutions for the horticulture applications within the mushroom industry.

MBio’s innovation finds expression in a series of world firsts in the development of nutrient enriched fresh mushrooms (Vit D, B12, Se), supporting the core business’ productivity and sustainability goals, development of enzymes, and most recently the development of a new range of vegan ingredients derived from the humble mushroom.
The MBio website (www.mbio.ie) tells the story of the development of this new range of ingredients and MBio are in the final stages of bringing its dedicated production facility online. MBio is targeting food, beverage and nutraceutical markets with its range of vegan ingredients and are assessing the introduction of a suite of mushroom based meat free products.
