Role Overview

To be responsible for promoting quality ethos, establishing and protecting the quality standards throughout the Company. To own all quality related internal and external audits.

 

Main Duties

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the company quality and HACCP systems, and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all quality control in respect of raw materials, process flow, finished products, materials, packaging, hygiene and environmental matters are strictly adhered to
  • Responsible for promoting and protecting quality standards on the growing & harvesting site
  • Responsible for managing the Quality Control Personnel within the Whitley Farm.
  • Implement and monitor hygiene practices throughout the site.
  • Preparing for and conducting customer visits and third party audits for example BRC and Tesco Produce Packhouse Standard

Role Overview

This role will be responsible for managing powder production activities for routine and trial activities. This role will work to ensure that production schedules are met and shipments to customers/ collaborators are completed on time. The coordinator will work with the Powder Programme Manager and other members of the management team to ensure deadlines are met.

 

Main Duties

  • Responsible for meeting production deadlines by planning, scheduling, executing, and directing production activities
  • Responsible for meeting quality assurance standards
  • Supervision of operatives, planning staffing schedules and ensuring relevant training where necessary
  • Enforcement of Health and Safety guidelines
  • Compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Development of production reports
  • Develop recommendations for process improvements
  • Organise and control all material measurements eg. Vit D analysis or micro-biological activity reports
  • Problem solver and willingness to roll up sleeve to get the job done

Role Overview

Under the direction of the Stock Control Manager responsible for picking, selecting correct orders, loading containers and clerical duties associated with despatch of products.

 

Main Duties

  • Responsible for intake of packing – equipment
  • Select correct stock for assembling orders and transfer stock to despatch bay
  • Check that correct number of crates/packaging on each pallets have been scanned and correct destination recorded
  • Process relevant documentation for each consignment
  • Use of the company online systems
  • Load containers and ensure all pallets have been scanned and checked prior to loading, enclosing documentation
  • Report any discrepancies with orders
  • Work effectively as part of the Team
  • Identify new methods and processes to reduce “down time”
  • Ensure all loads are loaded in accordance with the “load plan”

Job Description

Role Deliverables:

 

  1. To carry out preventative maintenance programmes on all equipment ensuring they are kept to high standard and always ready for use, including wrapping machines, labellers, refrigeration plant, robotics etc.
  2. To work closely with the Pack house management to ensure all maintenance work is prioritised correctly and carried out in a timely manner
  3. Assist in the sourcing of parts, following up on parts deliveries and overseeing that incoming parts are fitted as soon as possible when delivered
  4. Establish and maintain an efficient stock of essential parts, using good stock control techniques
  5. Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance documentation, following good documentation practices and keeping management updated on maintenance progress on all sites
  6. To ensure any breakdowns or problems are resolved quickly and efficiently as possible, using the resources available
  7. Being part of a callout service at weekends if required and forming part of a rotating shift pattern
  8. To assist with any 3rd party contractors in carrying out their duties on our sites as and when required
  9. To oversee that repairs to equipment carried out by 3rd parties off-site, are fully traceable and repairs are sent out and returned as quickly and efficiently as possible
  10. Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations

Role Overview

The Horticulture Programme Manager is a key role in the management of a number of research projects within MBio. Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, the Horticulture Programme Manager will be essential in driving forward the development of microbial solutions for the horticulture applications within the mushroom industry.

 

Main Duties

The Horticulture Programme Manager will be responsible for the successful management and execution of all Microbiology innovation programs within MBio for the Monaghan Mushrooms Group including the management of project rollout into the full commercial environment. The programme manager must be highly customer centric and must lead by example.

 

MBio consistently delivers world firsts. The programme manager must be focussed on the end goal and see innovation as a toolset to achieve macro objectives. This may require entrepreneurial flair at times to achieve the unimaginable and the candidate must be a very strong communicator.

As nature never stops flexibility will be an important feature of this role.

 

The deliverables of the Horticulture Programme Manager role include:

 

  • Coordinate and evaluate the performance of all microbiology and horticulture projects within MBio and ensure alignment with end goals agreed with the customer – Monaghan Mushrooms;
  • Formulate new projects to support the achievement of new innovation targets agreed with the customer;
  • Drive an innovation mindset through the team;
  • Development of a consistent project management method for application to all programs;
  • Develop proposals for funding from national and international state agencies to ensure funding is in place for 100% of micro programs;
  • The development and management of budgets;
  • Management and development of a diverse team of scientists and horticulturalists;
  • Risk assessment and change management to ensure programme delivery;

Identifying and understanding the needs of the employees is the key to the success of Monaghan Mushrooms. The role of Employee Liaison Officer is to nurture the relationship between new recruits, current employees and the business.

 

Main Duties

 

Onboarding:

  • Build strong relationships with new recruits and current employees to understand their needs and requirements
  • Manage the Onboarding process for all new recruits:
  • Prepare for new arrivals – e.g. meet & greet at airport or arrange transport to site
  • Ensure accommodation is ready for new arrival e.g. house is in order, clean bedding, basic household supplier
  • Liaise with the site Trainer regarding the delivery of new employee inductions
  • Provide assistance with obtaining NI number
  • Provide assistance with opening bank accounts
  • Meet with new starters every week for the first 4 weeks to ensure they are settling into work

 

Accommodation

  • Conducting fortnightly accommodation checks and ensuring any issues are resolved in a timely efficient manner
  • Overseeing purchase of furniture and furnishings for properties
  • Setting up new property vendors, generating purchase order numbers for rent and utility bills each month
  • Analysis of utility bills for all properties – ensuring correct deductions are being made, estimates versus actual spend on utility bills

  • Support Executive Team meetings and engage with stakeholders to ensure actions are followed up and completed
  • Organise and gather information from various departments and meetings. Reports that information along with analysis and proposals to the CEO.
  • Monitor and review KPI’s and highlight business challenges and/or performance gaps supported by appropriate analysis and reporting/documentation.
  • Project Management of identified business projects, including special projects related to company growth strategy, strategic planning and business development needs.
