Job Description

Main Duties

  • Plans, directs and supervises the maintenance team and their activities while offering technical support to all departments on site
  • Implementing and maintaining practices and structures within the relevant departments unsure what this means
  • Ensuring the execution of all maintenance / installation requests by the relevant parties are carried out within the agreed time discussed
  • Carry out Maintenance Audits of all machines, equipment and areas on site and feeding back findings with corrective action plans
  • Ensuring department stock levels are maintained to keep the farm and Packhouse in full operational order
  • Prepares and controls the Maintenance Budget
  • Implementing and maintaining all Preventative Maintenance Schedules ensuring the farm and Packhouse are audit ready at all times.
  • Directs and supervises Contractors and Vendors for the provision of specialist services
  • Dealing with staff issues e.g. performance, discipline, hours and holidays in line with Company Policies and Procedures
  • Provides the necessary support and guidance to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment at all times.
  • Conducts regular audits including Risk Assessments and safety reviews of the Farm and Packhouse.
  • Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations at all times.

  • Previous plant maintenance experience whether in a Field or Site role

  • Problem solving skills to analyse and eliminate root cause and deliver full eradication of failure modes

Experience and Qualifications

  • Must have a recognised apprenticeship to ONC/HNC electrically
  • Track record of electrical control, including PLC’s, contactors, relays & safety CCTS

Main Duties

The Horticulture Programme Manager will be responsible for the successful management and execution of all Microbiology innovation programs within MBio for the Monaghan Mushrooms Group including the management of project rollout into the full commercial environment. The programme manager must be highly customer centric and must lead by example.

 

MBio consistently delivers world firsts. The programme manager must be focussed on the end goal and see innovation as a toolset to achieve macro objectives. This may require entrepreneurial flair at times to achieve the unimaginable and the candidate must be a very strong communicator.

As nature never stops flexibility will be an important feature of this role.

 

The deliverables of the Horticulture Programme Manager role include:

 

  • Coordinate and evaluate the performance of all microbiology and horticulture projects within MBio and ensure alignment with end goals agreed with the customer – Monaghan Mushrooms;
  • Formulate new projects to support the achievement of new innovation targets agreed with the customer;
  • Drive an innovation mindset through the team;
  • Development of a consistent project management method for application to all programs;
  • Develop proposals for funding from national and international state agencies to ensure funding is in place for 100% of micro programs;
  • The development and management of budgets;
  • Management and development of a diverse team of scientists and horticulturalists;

  • Count all units of product codes collected from each Grower
  • Produce a Grower docket for each category of product. Must include product code, quantity, grower number, date, driver, number of crates collected, number of crates delivered, type of crate
  • Ensure you are following collection route in a timely & responsible fashion
  • Ensure all product is loaded carefully to minimise any damage
  • Download all information from handheld unit, check in product to Intake and investigate and update any discrepancies
  • File the correct route cards along with a copy of the Vehicles Tachograph
  • Fill your vehicle with fuel before offloading the last delivery to the Packhouse each day
  • Park your vehicle in a neat, tidy & safe manner
  • Wash your vehicle each evening before finishing your shift
  • Ensure there are sufficient levels of oil & water in your vehicle each morning
  • Complete a pre-collection vehicle check sheet and file it on a daily basis before moving off site
  • Responsible for the vehicle provided and drive it with due care and attention
  • Maintain and observe Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations

  • Perform market research on products, companies, technologies and ingredients in the meat free space;

Role Overview

The Senior Scientist is a key role within the Horticulture Research Programme at MBio. Reporting to the Fermentation Lead the Senior Scientist will drive forward sustainability research for the mushroom and wider horticulture industries.

 

Main Duties

  • Providing technical leadership in the development of scalable and cost-effective fermentation processes for microbial products
  • Planning and conducting fermentation research and experiments to improve the yield of desirable biomass and bioactivities of various beneficial bacteria and fungi
  • Producing high quality materials through fermentation for formulation and field development
  • Developing process SOPs and specifications for scale up and manufacture
  • Collaborating with other scientists, and technicians in molecular/microbiology, field development and formulation.

Working as part of the management accounting team you will assist with the preparation of the weekly management accounts, as well as supporting the wider finance function with any ad hoc reporting as required. There will be an opportunity to get experience in all facets of the Management accounting function.

  • Combining these reports into a set of schedules that feed into the weekly Management Accounts and KPI reports.

Job Description

The key objective of this position is to take ownership of Group Master Data Setup and assist with the support and delivery of IT Business Systems across the Monaghan Mushrooms Group.

 

Core Duties

  • Assume responsibility for setup, maintenance and auditing of Group Product, Supplier & Customer Master Data in all IT Business Systems.
  • Resolve AP, and Master Data queries via email and telephone.
  • Ensure master data integrity in key systems, as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
  • Map existing Master Data setup workflows and assist in identifying process and system gaps so process improvements can be proposed, agreed and implemented.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and documenting Master Data System Solution improvements to streamline the process and close process gaps.
  • Work with internal departments and local users to ensure the accuracy of master data items and resolution of Master Data queries in a timely manner.
