Job Description

Role Deliverables:

 

  1. To carry out preventative maintenance programmes on all equipment ensuring they are kept to high standard and always ready for use, including wrapping machines, labellers, refrigeration plant, robotics etc.
  2. To work closely with the Pack house management to ensure all maintenance work is prioritised correctly and carried out in a timely manner
  3. Assist in the sourcing of parts, following up on parts deliveries and overseeing that incoming parts are fitted as soon as possible when delivered
  4. Establish and maintain an efficient stock of essential parts, using good stock control techniques
  5. Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance documentation, following good documentation practices and keeping management updated on maintenance progress on all sites
  6. To ensure any breakdowns or problems are resolved quickly and efficiently as possible, using the resources available
  7. Being part of a callout service at weekends if required and forming part of a rotating shift pattern
  8. To assist with any 3rd party contractors in carrying out their duties on our sites as and when required
  9. To oversee that repairs to equipment carried out by 3rd parties off-site, are fully traceable and repairs are sent out and returned as quickly and efficiently as possible
  10. Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations

Experience and Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (preferable industrial)
  • Several years’ industry experience in a similar role
  • Ability to weld (preferably stainless steel and aluminium) and carry out small amounts of steel fabrication
  • Full driving licence

 

Desirables:

  • Previous experience in the mushroom industry and knowledge of the specialised machinery that are in use within a modern Packhouse
  • Previous experience in the food industry

Role Overview

The Senior Scientist is a key role within the Horticulture Research Programme at MBio. Reporting to the Horticulture Programme Manager, the Senior Scientist will drive project execution and research in the area of sustainability, horticulture and mushroom development.

 

Main Duties

The deliverables of the Senior Scientist role include:

 

  • Project management of horticulture / sustainability focussed project
  • Management of key milestones within assigned project and manage completion of project to time and budget.
  • Management and co-ordination of resources to achieve project objectives
  • Maintain funding support for research activities
  • Development of technical reports and presentation of data to team members and other stakeholders, including company executives

Role Deliverables:

 

·         Adhere to the rules of the road at all times

·         EC licenced drivers are required to collect mushrooms from our grower network on a daily basis and deliver them to Tyholland Packhouse.

·         Count all units of product codes collected from each Grower

·         Produce a Grower docket for each category of product. Must include product code, quantity, grower number, date, driver, number of crates collected, number of crates delivered, type of crate

·         Follow collection route in a timely & responsible fashion

·         Load all product carefully to minimise any damage

·         Download all information from handheld unit, check in product to Intake and investigate and update any discrepancies

·         File the correct route cards along with a copy of the Vehicles Tacograph

·         Fill your vehicle with fuel before offloading the last delivery to the Packhouse each day

·         Park your vehicle in a neat, tidy & safe manner

·         Wash your vehicle each evening before finishing your shift

·         Ensure there are sufficient levels of oil & water in your vehicle each morning

·         Complete a pre-collection vehicle check sheet and file it on a daily basis before moving off site

·         Be responsible for the vehicle provided and drive it with due care and attention

·         Any other associated duties

·         Maintain and observe Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations

Person Specification:

·         Collection Drivers are required to work on a 5 day out of 7 basis which will include Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis with all Lorries based in Tyholland.

·         Must be competent with machinery and flexible to do shift work.

·         A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Artic driving

·         Digital Tacograph Card

·         Driver CPC Certificate

·         A full clean Drivers Licence (EC)

·         Collection Drivers must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes.

·         Manual handling experience is essential.

Job Description

Role Overview

Reporting to the HR Project Manager the main objective of this role is to maintain and monitor all elements of data within key HR systems across the group. Working closely with Site Administrators, it will be the responsibility of the Data Administrator to ensure standardisation and accuracy. Involvement in the planning and development of the database, report creation and analysis, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users will be a requirement.

This is an entry level position.

 

Main Duties

  • Monitor system usage ensuring accuracy and consistency including data quality monitoring exercises to improve data integrity
  • Provision of HR Management Information from raw data collation to trend analysis and presentation of the final product
  • Provide outstanding Customer Service to all internal and external customers
  • Continuous improvement of current processes
  • General administration to support the department including payroll holiday cover

Role Overview

The Horticulture Programme Manager is a key role in the management of a number of research projects within MBio. Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, the Horticulture Programme Manager will be essential in driving forward the development of microbial solutions for the horticulture applications within the mushroom industry.

 

Main Duties

The Horticulture Programme Manager will be responsible for the successful management and execution of all Microbiology innovation programs within MBio for the Monaghan Mushrooms Group including the management of project rollout into the full commercial environment. The programme manager must be highly customer centric and must lead by example.

 

MBio consistently delivers world firsts. The programme manager must be focussed on the end goal and see innovation as a toolset to achieve macro objectives. This may require entrepreneurial flair at times to achieve the unimaginable and the candidate must be a very strong communicator.

As nature never stops flexibility will be an important feature of this role.

 

The deliverables of the Horticulture Programme Manager role include:

 

  • Coordinate and evaluate the performance of all microbiology and horticulture projects within MBio and ensure alignment with end goals agreed with the customer – Monaghan Mushrooms;
  • Formulate new projects to support the achievement of new innovation targets agreed with the customer;
  • Drive an innovation mindset through the team;
  • Development of a consistent project management method for application to all programs;
  • Develop proposals for funding from national and international state agencies to ensure funding is in place for 100% of micro programs;
