The Annual Food Research Conference is the most important event in Food Science and Technology in Ireland. The event has been traditionally hosted in University College of Cork. This event brings together all the Academic Food Research Institutions, Industry Representatives and Experts of Ireland.
The Food Science and Technology Programme (on behalf of Monaghan Mushrooms) in conjunction with Dublin Institute of Technology submitted a poster entitled “The Flavour Chemistry of Selected Edible Mushrooms and their Sensory Perception”. The poster summarized part of the work carried out by Monaghan Mushrooms employee Charlene Connolly as part of her doctorate. The poster submitted by Monaghan Mushrooms was one of forty-seven that received not only a huge interest, but was also awarded the poster prize winner for the conference.
