CEO and founder of Monaghan Mushrooms, R.C. Wilson was honoured with a special Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Checkout Best in Fresh Awards.
Checkout Magazine is a leading magazine for the retail trade in Ireland. They hold an awards ceremony that celebrates the Irish fresh food industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Irish Fresh Food Industry and is a role model for those in the trade.
In 30 years, Monaghan Mushrooms has developed into one of the world’s largest mushroom producers and the world’s largest mushroom substrate producer, employing more than 4,000 staff in six countries.
The editor of Checkout Magazine, Stephen Wynne-Jones said,
